Mice can fit through an opening the size of a dime and rats can squeeze through an opening the size of a quarter! Rats are excellent climbers, we have seen rats run straight up stucco walls! Rats can gain access to your attic by easily climbing tree branches touching your roof. We highly recommend trimming back tree branches touching your roof to help reduce rat access.
